Six Wines Eight

This tiny new shop in Bermondsey has a gimmick – but a good gimmick. Only 48 wines are stocked at any time, and they’re divided by style rather than country or grape: six wines in eight accessible classifications such as ‘pure, delicate, neutral’ or ‘intense, complex, elegant’. It’s a bit simplistic but still a good way to take the fear out of wine-buying, especially combined with reasonable prices and food-matching suggestions. Tastings are held every Tuesday evening.
